Written Description:

I’d like my song to have a contemporary folk sound similar to Shawn Colvin. Heavy on the acoustic guitar but it can include bass guitar and drums. Keyboard is fine too as long as it matches the folk vibe.

Reference Songs:

Sunny Came Home

Shawn Colvin

Guitar, Drums/Percussion, Overall Mood and Emotion of Song, Simple beginning of the guitar playing the melody notes, which is repeated between each verse. Some electric guitar in background. Softer bridge.

Painting By. Chagall

The Weepies

Overall Mood and Emotion of Song, Simplicity, simple storytelling feeling

Aimee Mann

Guitar, Audio Effects, Overall Mood and Emotion, ..... Simple, acoustic guitar vibe, although I would add some drums and base
