DESCRIPTION:

“Where It’s At” is a simple country song that reaches back into the roots of country music. Would love to shop this song to major country artists. The production shouldn’t overshadow the lyrical message. It has a hard driving sound initially, but sweetens some as it breaks into the last ½ of the chorus. I have imagined some southern rock influences heard in the bass, the drums and a lead guitar riff kicking off the song and heard again during the instrumental break after the first chorus. I’d love to hear a little fiddle or steel guitar or even a dobro filling in during the last half of the chorus where the chords switch to Em and A. The included vocal harmony shouldn’t overshadow the lead vocal.

REFERENCES:

I love the use of an acoustic guitar to kick off this song. I love the way this song is put together top to bottom.
Driving drum beat. Acoustic Guitar licks... Banjo in the background. GREAT country sound! Fun to listen to. This is what I am wanting.

I enjoy the sound of the soft picking in this song, and I think some picking or lead guitar portion would feel good on my song too.
