Denver, Colorado

Career Highlights / Bio:

I was born and raised in Denver and have the musical chops to show for it; I've been playing music for 10 years and performing professionally for over 4. I perform several nights a week around town in both variety cover/tribute acts and my own original band. My specialty as an instructor is singing and songwriting, but I also teach beginner to intermediate levels of guitar and piano. Austin is such a wonderful city for young musicians to connect, learn, grow and thrive, and I love being a part of intruducing students to that community. My primary focus as a teacher is to keep music fun and engaging, no matter what level you're at. Practicing shouldn't feel like a grind. I want it to light you up inside every time you pick up your instrument, so each lesson is tailored to fit your musical goals and interests. I also want your lessons with me to give you more than the simple mechanics of learning an instrument. Even if your goal isn't to pursue music professionally, the process learing an instrument can help you work through fear and develop self-confidence and independence that impact all areas of life. My biggest passion is guiding students through that journey. I love and am influenced by all kinds of music--no, really! Pop, rock, jazz, hip hop, metal, classical, you name it. Some of my favorite artists are Paramore, Ariana Grande, Billy Eilish, Panic! at the Disco, Bon Iver, Polyphia, Chick Corea, The Story So Far, August Burns Red and Spiritbox. Thanks for having a look at my profile. I look forward to meeting you!
